The name Mathis, derived from Matthew, comes from the Hebrew mattaï, meaning "gift of god".

Mathis is original and spiritual. Despite his good nature, he is sure of himself and persevering. Sage and always good advice, Mathis has a great ability to listen, which is why we often turn to him. He likes to be quiet to meditate, read and learn new things. Rigorous and patient, Mathis does not like rushing things, and he prefers to mature his decisions rather than rush. Orderly and harmonious, he makes sure that everything is in his place. In love, Mathis is often exclusive and he gives all his affection to the people he loves. Faithful and loyal, he will be keen to provide his family with some stability. But he will demand the same thing in return. Highly selective in the choice of her relationships, mutual respect and mutual assistance are essential for Mathis.

Among the famous Mathis are the great Renaissance painter and German hydraulic engineer, Mathis Gothart Nithart, aka Matthias Grünewald. Mathis Künzler is a Swiss theater and television actor. Mathis Wackernagel, another Swiss, is the creator of the concept of ecological footprint. On the sports side, Norway's Mathis Olimb is a professional ice hockey player. Mathis is also a French automobile brand, created by Émile Mathis in 1905.

Additional

  • A pattern adaptable to any book format

The specified height is the design one (without margin).
To fold comfortably, add at least 3 cm to this height (1.5 cm top margin + 1.5 cm bottom margin).

  • Accurate measurements for soft curves

The marks are calculated with 2 decimal places:

6,75 cm = 6 cm + 7 mm + ½ mm

These measurements can be marked with a classic ruler.
For ½ mm, make your mark between the 2 lines of the ruler.

  • A clear and easy to follow measurements grid

The measurements page is aerated and lined to be pleasant to follow.

  • Manual and original design

I was the very first one to conceptualize Isaac Salazar’s art.
To create book folding patterns I developped my own computer tools. But to control its feasibility, the creation of the pattern is mainly manual.
