Nico is the diminutive of Nicolas. The Greek roots nikê and Laos of the first name Nicolas respectively mean "victory" and "people".
Thanks to his charisma and his dynamism, it is impossible to miss Nicolas. It is always him that we notice first in a group! Very daring, Nicolas easily makes decisions and always accepts the consequences. Very logical, it is often to him that we turn in case of problems. He knows where to go and does not turn away. However, Nicolas is a real good guy who likes to be with his friends. Under his fake airs, Nicolas is a real romantic.
The most famous French Nicolas is undoubtedly Nicolas Sarkozy, president of the French Republic from 2007 to 2012. On the side of the artists, Nicolas are numerous. Let's mention the actor Nicolas Cage, the guitarist Nicolas Alfonso or the writer Nicolas Gogol (19th century). In literature, "Le Petit Nicolas" is a work of Jean-Jacques Sempé and René Goscinny. Finally, among athletes, Nicolas Anelka is a footballer selected several times in the French team.
- A pattern adaptable to any book format
The specified height is the design one (without margin).
To fold comfortably, add at least 3 cm to this height (1.5 cm top margin + 1.5 cm bottom margin).
- Accurate measurements for soft curves
The marks are calculated with 2 decimal places:
6,75 cm = 6 cm + 7 mm + ½ mm
These measurements can be marked with a classic ruler.
For ½ mm, make your mark between the 2 lines of the ruler.
- A clear and easy to follow measurements grid
The measurements page is aerated and lined to be pleasant to follow.

- Manual and original design
I was the very first one to conceptualize Isaac Salazar’s art.
To create book folding patterns I developped my own computer tools. But to control its feasibility, the creation of the pattern is mainly manual.
