Cut and fold pattern with top and bottom margins, the height is the book one
Founded in 1929, the Italian brand only began to create off track cars in 1947.
The count Francesco Baracca was an Italian aviator. Dead after 34 aerial duels, the hull of his plane was displaying a black prancing horse. After his death, his mother met Enzo Ferrari and suggested him to adopt this black horse as a logo which could, in his words, bring him luck.
The emblem (named scudetto), represents a Cavallino Rampante or black prancing horse on a yellow background. The horse symbolizes power, grace and speed. The yellow color comes from the emblem of the city of Modena, birthplace of Enzo Ferrari and identifies the logo at a good distance. The green, white and red stripes complete the design, recalling the Italian origin of the brand.
There are two different scudetto: one shield-shaped for the racing team cars and a second one rectangular-shaped where appears the mention Ferrari for cars to be sold.

• Manual and original design
I was the very first one to conceptualize Isaac Salazar’s art.
To create book folding patterns I developped my own computer tools. But to control its feasibility, the creation of the pattern is mainly manual.
